Prof. Cheng Deng Xidian University, China | Biography: Professor Cheng Deng, a second-level professor and PhD supervisor, is recognized as a national talent and is in charge of a provincial-level technological innovation team. He is also a provincial teaching master and an exemplar of teacher ethics in the province. He heads the Cognitive Computing and Interactive Systems Laboratory at Xidian University. He has led over 30 national and provincial-level research projects. Over the past five years, he has published more than 150 papers in top international journals and at CCF A-conference venues such as ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, KDD, CVPR, ICCV, AAAI, and IJCAI. His work has been cited over 10,000 times on Google Scholar. From 2021 to 2023, he was consecutively listed among China's Highly Cited Researchers and was included in the 2022 global top 2% scientist list. His research achievements have earned him one National Natural Science Award (Second Prize) and four First Prizes in the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards. |
Prof. Yang Yang IEEE Fellow The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) | Biography: Professor Yang Yang currently serves as the Associate Vice President (Education), Acting Dean of the School of Educational Science, Professor of the Internet of Things Thrust, and Director of the HKUST(GZ)-Terminous Joint Research Center for "Digital World" at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). His research areas include the intelligent Internet of Things, multi-level computing networks, and 5G/6G mobile communication systems. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has served as an expert for the overall team of the National Major Science and Technology Project “Next-Generation Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Networks,” an expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology’s major project “Pre-research for the Fifth-generation Mobile Communication System,” a member of the board of directors and Greater China director of the International Fog Computing Industry–Academic–Research Alliance, and the chair of the steering committee of the Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications. From 2008 to 2010, he collaborated with Airbus and Rolls-Royce in the UK, pioneering the application of IoT technology in the aviation field. From 2012 to 2016, his research team on "Broadband Wireless Sensor Networks" was selected for the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Innovative Talent Promotion Program. They assisted the State Council's South-to-North Water Diversion Office in the comprehensive planning and construction of the IoT monitoring and management system for the middle route project of the South-to-North Water Diversion, which stretches 1,432 kilometers, the longest in the world. From 2020 to 2023, he led the national key R&D project "Construction and Demonstration of 5G Ubiquitous IoT Infrastructure for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Smart City Cluster." |
Prof. Gang Wu University of Electronic Science and Technology of China | Biography: Prof. Gang Wu received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2004. He is currently Professor of the National Key Laboratory of Wireless Communication of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He was a Research Fellow with the Positioning and Wireless Technology Centre, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from November 2005 to February 2007, and a visiting scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology from October 2009 to September 2010. Dr. Wu is Senior member of the Chinese Institute of Communications (CIC), Associate editor of Science in China - Information Science and SCIENTIA SINICA Informationis. He has published over 200 journal and conference papers and won the 2012 IEEE GLOBECOM Best Paper Award. |
Prof. Qingsheng Zeng IEEE Senior Member Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Canada | Biography: Qingsheng Zeng received his Ph.D. from University of Ottawa, Canada, and is currently an adjunct professor and PhD advisor of University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Université du Québec an Outaouais (UQO), and Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique -- Centre Energie, Matériaux et Télécommunications (INRS-EMT). He has been a research engineer and a senior research engineer at Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), Government of Canada. Dr. Zeng has undertaken research and teaching in several fields, including analysis and design of aircraft antennas, electromagnetic compatibility and interference (EMC/EMI), ultrawideband technology, radio wave propagation, computational electromagnetics. He has been the Chair of AP (Antennas and Propagation) / MTT (Microwave Theory and Techniques) Joint Chapter and Secretary of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Chapter of IEEE Ottawa, a Member of IEEE Canada Industry Relations Committee, and a senior member of IEEE. He has published more than 200 SCI and EI indexed papers and technical reports, authored one book and co-authored two book chapters. His work on the project “Aggregate Interference Analysis and Suitability of Some Propagation Models to Ultra-wideband Emissions in Outdoor Environments” has formed one part of Consultation Paper on the Introduction of Wireless Systems Using Ultra Wideband Technology, Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Policy, Industry Canada, and has been taken as a significant contribution to International Telecommunication Union (ITU). |
Prof. Bing Shi IEEE Member Wuhan University of Technology, China | Biography: Bing Shi, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science. He gained his undergraduate and master's degrees from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Nanjing University. His PhD is from the School of Electronics and Computing, University of Southampton, UK. Dr. Bing Shi is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the International Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), and the China Computer Federation (CCF). He is mainly engaged in the research of Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Intelligent Body Systems, and has presided over a number of national and Ministry of Education scientific research projects, and has published more than 40 papers in the conferences and journals recommended by the China Computer Federation (CCF). |
Associate Professor Deepika Koundal IEEE Senior Member University of Eastern Finland, Finland | Biography: Dr. Deepika Koundal is a Senior Researcher at the A.I. Vertanen Institute, University of Eastern Finland, since August 2024. Recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists in 2023 and 2024 by Stanford University and Elsevier, she specializes in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing. Currently on sabbatical from her role as Senior Associate Professor at UPES, India, she also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam. Dr. Koundal has received the European Commission's MSCA Seal of Excellence and the Best Paper Award by JCVIR-Elsevier in 2023. With a Ph.D. and Master's from Panjab University, she has published extensively and holds editorial positions in leading journals like IEEE Transactions. Her research focuses on AI, Image Processing, and Machine Learning. |
